Rates & Policies

Shoreline Stays is a small, intentionally quiet lakeside eco-retreat. Our rates and policies are designed to support a peaceful experience for all guests while protecting the land and water we share.
Minimum Stay
A minimum two-night stay applies to all bookings.
Long weekends require a three-night minimum stay.
Saturday arrivals are not available. This helps us maintain a relaxed atmosphere and ensure each site is thoughtfully prepared for arriving guests.
Arrival & Departure
Occupancy & Site Use
• Maximum occupancy: 2 adults per site. Most stays are for two adults per site. If you are travelling with an additional adult, please reach out to us.
• Adults-only property (18+)
• One vehicle per site
• Tent camping only (including vehicle-access tent camping)
• No RVs, motorhomes, or travel trailers
What’s Included
• Picnic table
• Fire pit
• Access to shared shoreline and beach area
• Access to shared cabin
• Access to washroom and shower facilities
Lake Access
• Natural shoreline and shared beach area
• Human-powered watercraft only
• No motorized boats
• Use of shoreline and lake is at your own risk
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Amplified music and external speakers are not permitted. Sound carries easily across water.
Pets
• Well-behaved dogs and cats welcome
• Must remain leashed at all times
• Owners are responsible for cleanup and behaviour
• Excessive barking may result in removal without refund
What’s Not Permitted
• Fireworks
• Generators
• ATVs or off-road vehicles (unless by prior arrangement)
• Large gatherings or events
• Additional tents beyond site capacity
Failure to follow property guidelines may result in immediate removal without refund.

• Early check-in or late departure may be available by prior arrangement only
Firewood & Fire Safety
Guests may bring their own firewood or purchase firewood on site.
All campfires must comply with local fire regulations. During fire bans, campfires are strictly prohibited.
Guests are responsible for safe use of fire pits at all times.
Water
Non-potable water is available on site.
Guests must bring their own drinking water or pre-order potable water.
Smoking
Smoking is permitted only at your site. All cigarette butts must be disposed of properly and never left on the ground.
Weather & Nature
Shoreline Stays is a natural rural property. Weather conditions, insects, wildlife, uneven terrain, and changing lake levels are part of the environment.
No refunds are issued due to weather.
Respect for the Land
Part of our property operates under a conservation partnership with Ducks Unlimited Canada. Guests are asked to respect vegetation, wildlife, and all fire safety regulations.
This is a natural rural setting, not a manicured resort.
Property Care & Damages
We ask all guests to treat the property, furnishings, and equipment with care and respect.
Guests are responsible for any damage, excessive cleaning, or missing items resulting from their stay.
By completing a reservation, guests authorize Shoreline Stays to charge the card on file for documented damages or additional cleaning costs if necessary.
Fires must remain within designated fire pits and at a reasonable campfire size. Damage caused by excessive or improper fire use will be the responsibility of the guest.
If damage occurs, we will notify guests promptly and provide supporting documentation.
Cancellations
Guest Cancellations
• Cancellations made 14 days or more before arrival will receive a refund minus a $15 administration fee.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will be charged one night unless the dates are successfully rebooked. If rebooked, only the $15 administration fee will apply.
• No refunds are issued for early departures or no-shows.
Company Cancellations
In rare circumstances, Shoreline Stays may cancel a reservation due to severe weather, fire bans, safety concerns, or unforeseen events. If we cancel your stay, you will receive a full refund.
By completing a reservation, guests acknowledge and agree to these cancellation terms.
