The Shoreline Stays Experience

A quiet, adults-only lakeside eco-retreat

Shoreline Stays was created for people who value quiet places,

simple comforts, and time spent close to nature.

Set on the shores of Katie Lake, just south of Erickson, Manitoba,

this is a small, intentional retreat designed to feel calm

from the moment you arrive. With limited sites, generous spacing,

and a focus on low-impact use of the land, Shoreline Stays offers

a slower, more thoughtful alternative to busy campgrounds.

Quiet, by Design

Quiet at Shoreline Stays isn’t an afterthought — it’s the foundation.

We keep the number of sites intentionally small, with generous space

between them. There are no RVs, no generators, and no high-traffic

campground roads.

Campsites are oriented toward the lake rather than toward one another, creating privacy and a sense of ease.

Evenings here are meant for conversation, stargazing, and listening to the natural sounds of the lake and surrounding land.

A Calm Relationship with the Lake

Katie Lake lends itself naturally to a peaceful shoreline experience.

To preserve this character, Shoreline Stays welcomes human-powered watercraft only, such as kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. This supports a low-impact approach to lake use and keeps the water well suited to paddling, swimming, and quiet enjoyment.

Shoreline access is shared and natural — simple, unmanicured, and respectful of the land.

Adults-Only, Intentionally

Shoreline Stays is an adults-only retreat (18+).

This allows us to maintain a consistently quiet, relaxed atmosphere for guests who are seeking rest, reflection, and connection with nature. It also helps protect the land and shoreline by keeping use gentle and predictable.

This is a place designed for adults who value shared respect, quiet evenings, and a slower pace.

Simple, Low-Impact Camping

Tent camping at Shoreline Stays is intentionally uncomplicated.

Sites are designed for one primary tent, with a maximum of four adults per site. There are no permanent structures beyond what’s needed for comfort and safety — the focus remains on the land, the lake, and the experience of being outdoors.

Who Shoreline Stays Is For

Shoreline Stays is well suited to:

  • Couples seeking a quiet escape

  • Solo travellers looking to unplug

  • Small groups of adults camping together

  • Guests who enjoy paddling, swimming, walking, reading, and unstructured time.

Who It May Not Be For

Shoreline Stays may not be the right fit for:

  • Large group gatherings or parties

  • RV or vehicle-based camping

  • Guests seeking organized activities or entertainment

  • Motorized water use

  • Family-oriented or high-energy camping environments

We believe that being clear about this helps everyone have a better experience.

A Slower Rhythm

Life at Shoreline Stays follows the natural rhythm of the day.

Mornings arrive quietly. Days unfold without schedules. Evenings slow down as the light changes on the water. This is a place to do less, notice more, and leave feeling rested rather than rushed.

A Thoughtful Approach to Growth

Shoreline Stays is being developed slowly and intentionally, guided by the land itself. Future additions — including a small number of rustic cabins — will follow the same principles of quiet, simplicity, and low impact.

Growth here is measured, not rushed.

If This Sounds Like Your Kind of Place

If you’re looking for a peaceful, adults-only retreat where quiet is valued and nature sets the pace, Shoreline Stays may be just what you’re seeking.

We look forward to welcoming guests who appreciate this kind of experience.
